    Excellent opportunity to head up a team of field engineers for an established smart buildings specialist.

    The Position:

    The appointed Service Manager will be responsible for:

    • Managing a team of installation, planned & reactive maintenance and commissioning engineers
    • Planning and coordinating new installations and contract maintenance
    • Planning and managing resources for all service and maintenance activities, from sales to final execution (materials, tools and transport)
    • Ensuring that all field and office-based activities are carried out in accordance with company and statutory Health & Safety policy requirements
    • Managing quality assurance measures and processes for site based operational activities in accordance with the company’s QA core document
    • Generating opportunities to profitably grow the service and maintenance business in line with company objectives
    • Developing sound working practices and structured methodologies
    • Providing cost plans and quotations for existing and new customers
    • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external contacts

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be required to demonstrate:

    • A minimum of three years’ service leadership experience in an M&E building services / building automation environment (HVAC controls, BMS, audio visual etc)
    • A recognised qualification in electrical engineering
    • Technical knowledge of BMS controls from multiple manufacturers
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • A clear and methodical approach to problem-solving
    • Strong leadership qualities and an ability to motivate
    • The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts
    • Knowledge of cost management and risk management
    • Competency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
