This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned land and site development professional to take on a role that will require leadership, technical, and project management prowess to deliver both public and private projects.

The Position:

The successful candidate will be a senior member of the client services division, driving the execution of assigned projects and tasks, and primarily involving:

  • Providing mentorship, guidance, and training to junior staff members.
  • Collaborating closely with both clients and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and cooperation.
  • Generating comprehensive construction plans as effective tools for project development and implementation.
  • Leading, organizing, and overseeing the daily engineering activities of assigned staff.
  • Ensuring the successful completion of client project objectives
  • Attending initial client meetings for new project proposals and kickoffs.
  • Understanding a comprehensive grasp of project nuances, aiding in proposal preparation and the accurate execution of tasks.
  • Creating well-structured client proposals, encompassing clear scopes of work, pricing, project schedules, and resource needs.
  • Evaluating and approving the technical strategies for project tasks, along with intermediate and final work products.
  • Reviewing requisite research and data essential for project design, including zoning stipulations, updated design benchmarks, existing utility data, environmental considerations, and topographical insights.
  • Engaging with pertinent government agencies as needed, participating in meetings to ensure project compliance with agency standards and securing necessary approvals.
  • Identifying instances where client-requested work falls beyond the original contract scope and correcting.

Requirements:

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • At least eight years’ experience in civil engineering design related to land and site development.
  • License as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Georgia.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
