An award-winning provider of engineering, planning, and environmental expertise to the energy, transportation, development, government, and industrial sectors is currently seeking a technically qualified and versatile Senior Engineering Manager for its transportation and structural practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance to entry to senior-level professional engineers, EITs, and CAD staff.
  • Leading the design and technical direction of bridge transportation projects.
  • Leading the coordination with interfacing disciplines.
  • Maintaining proficiency with engineering software.
  • Maintaining the budget, schedule, and quality of tasks
  • Being up to speed on regulation changes and agency protocols and requirements.
  • Development of proposals, scopes of work, staff-hour estimates, and work plans for engineering portions of work pursuits.
  • Domestic travel for periodic project site visits or client meetings (up to 25% of the time).

Requirements:

  • At least 15 years’ experience in structural design projects for FDOT and other Florida agencies
  • A minimum bachelor’s in civil engineering from an accredited college
  • Professional Engineering license in Florida
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The flexibility to work both in a team environment and independently on project-specific tasks.
  • Efficiency in planning and organizing workload.
  • A dedicated commitment to performing quality work with a positive attitude and work ethic.
