Experts in the formulation of ingredients for cosmetics and consumer products, our client is presently looking to appoint a proven Sales Manager to consolidate and increase market share across North America.

The Position:

The appointed Sales Manager will assume responsibility for:

  • Promoting the sales of speciality chemicals (active ingredients) to customers in the cosmetic and personal care sectors.
  • Developing and executing a clear vision on channel development activity, monitoring sales territories and adjusting as needed.
  • Managing key accounts and developing existing relationships, while identifying and promoting new opportunities.
  • Reporting on sales volume, proposed areas of expansion, competitor activities and products.
  • Meeting budget in terms of top line growth and bottom-line contribution.
  • Travel as required in line with company’s goals.
  • Representing the company at trade association meetings and industry events

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in the sales of speciality chemicals, ideally active ingredients
  • A network of contacts across the cosmetics and personal care industry.
  • A minimum bachelor’s degree qualification
  • Strong autonomy and entrepreneurship to operate effectively with minimal direction.
  • Proven ability to identify and win new clients (prospecting, presenting, negotiation, closing)
