A leading manufacturer of fluid control and dispensing solutions is presently looking to recruit a technical sales professional to drive new and repeat business across California.  

The Position:

The appointed Sales Executive will be responsible for the consultative selling of fluid metering and dispensing systems into the medical, laboratory, analytical and industrial process industries.  This will involve:

  • Executing the sales go-to-market strategy, identifying new opportunities, building pipeline, winning new business and meeting company targets
  • Introducing new product offerings to existing customers and prospecting / cold calling / networking to obtain new business
  • Managing the existing customer base and building relationships through professional demeanour and strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrating the use/application of the product range in customer facilities
  • Representing the business at trade events and industry exhibitions

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of three years’ consultative field-based technical sales experience
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding KPI, revenue ad margin targets
  • A network or OEM and end user contacts in the medical, laboratory, analytical and/or industrial process sectors
  • A bachelor’s degree qualification, ideally in an engineering or life science discipline
  • A valid driver’s license and flexibility for overnight travel as needed
  • Demonstrated relationship management and consultative selling aptitude
  • Strong customer service skills and an ability to problem solve and devise customer solutions
  • Self-motivation and effective organizational/time management skills
  • The ability to target accounts and achieve results through an action plan
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite and Outlook
