The appointed Production Engineer will utilize our client’s resources and align assets to achieve optimal production with the utmost consideration for safety and compliance.

The Position:

  • Monitor production performance and recommend solutions to maintain and increase well/field performance.
  • Ensure well data is maintained (well histories, wellbore diagrams, production plots, etc.)
  • Generate and execute cost estimates and procedures for remedial well work operations in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Aid in the generation of capital and expense budgets.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure alignment on long term and short-term production, drilling, and abandonment objectives and budgets.
  • Coordinate and facilitate annual lease reviews, discussing area performance with respect to safety, compliance, production and LOE, while seeking opportunities for continuous improvement in all facets.
  • Ensure facilities and infrastructure are optimum for existing and future production.
  • Facilitate learnings via post activity reviews.
  • Conduct operations in a safe and compliant fashion to ensure the safety of all persons associated.
  • 10% travel (to field office and offshore.)

Requirements:

  • Education: BS in Engineering
  • 7+ years of production operations experience with an operator (ideally offshore).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to achieve priorities, goals, and strategies with limited supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to appropriately target communication to intended audience, from field environment to senior management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changes in plans.
  • Trust and professionalism while performing job duties.
  • Ability to work in a multi-team environment.
  • Knowledge of gas lift optimization and troubleshooting, nodal analysis, well surveillance, diagnosing and troubleshooting well operations / performance.
