A leading investment and development company focused on oilfield services in Saudi Arabia and its neighbouring countries, our client is presently looking to appoint a Procurement Director for a senior position within its organization structure.

The Position:

Reporting to the CEO, the appointed Procurement Director will assume responsibility for:

  • Developing a procurement business plan for the organization and ensuring that it is effectively communicated.
  • Forecasting ongoing demand for goods and services.
  • Negotiating contracts and service agreements with suppliers.
  • Acting as the main contact point for organizational procurement related questions.
  • Researching options to source best value products and services.
  • Planning policies and procedures for efficiently, honestly, economically, and productively purchasing goods for supply chain production and operation.
  • Establishing essential guidelines for approving purchase orders, setting purchasing policies, managing inventory / materials budget, while continuously considering stock requirements, skills, and account balances.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing bids and quotes with suppliers, including the negotiation of service agreements and contracts.
  • Providing direct support to operations, business development and sales.
  • Maintaining company budget and streamlining costs.

Requirements:

  • Over ten years’ experience in procurement leadership
  • A minimum bachelor’s degree qualification in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or related major.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the oil & gas industry and its intricacies.
  • Prior experience in an organization with a significant sales capacity – to align procurement strategies with sales targets and organizational objectives.
  • A proven track record of negotiating and managing transactions.
