A vibrant boutique law firm is currently seeking a partner-level Environmental Attorney to play a prominent role in the continued growth of its environmental practice.

Acting as an advocate and advisor concerning legal rights and obligations, the successful candidate will recommend best practices and courses of action related to environmental issues, including:

  • Assisting the firm’s transactional counsel in conducting pre-acquisition due diligence related to potential transactions.
  • Providing environmental and zoning guidance to transactional counsel as requested
  • Representing clients in litigation related to environmental issues in state and federal courts and in administrative hearings.
  • Assisting clients with all phases of the land use/development process
  • State (CEQA) and federal (Coastal Act, NEPA) environmental compliance.
  • Administrative appeals for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Experience of providing professional legal counsel in litigation, permitting, land use, redevelopment, regulatory compliance, and/or transactional support
  • (Ideally) specific experience with renewable energy projects
  • A portable book of business (minimum $500,000)
  • Based and barred in the state of California.
