An established and private equity backed waste recycling business is presently looking to appoint an energetic and experienced Chief Financial Officer.
The Position:
The appointed Chief Financial Officer will:
- Directly manage P&L, budgeting, auditing, tax functions, accounting, long range forecasting and cash flow analysis
- Provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
- Prepare and issue monthly accounts and financial reports.
- Provide advice to leadership on the financial implications of business activities.
- Motivate and empower the team to meet and exceed objectives through initiative, creativity, and teamwork.
- Recognize the impact of operational issues on the financial health of the organization.
- Oversee the inventory of all fixed assets.
- Treasury and cash flow management
The Candidate:
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- A minimum bachelor’s degree (MBA and/or CPA preferred) in accounting or finance.
- At least five years’ financial experience with leadership responsibility, ideally in a contracting environment (waste management, environmental services, demolition, construction etc)
- A strong understanding of corporate development, project management, operations, and AIA contracts
- The ability to develop detailed and segmented P&Ls
- Capital markets experience (preferably on debt raises / bank covenant communication)
- Working knowledge of accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving and time management skills.
- High levels of integrity and dependability, with a sense of urgency and results-orientation
