Our client is a leading and rapidly growing oil and gas production company, with operations in Texas as well as internationally, producing the resources needed for the next generation of our economy.
Reporting to the CEO, the appointed CFO will be responsible for all strategic financial planning and execution, risk management, and will be a leading contributor to the success and growth of the company. This will involve:
- Developing and implementing the company’s financial strategy to support its growth and long-term financial objectives.
- Collaborating with executive leadership to set financial goals and budgets, providing guidance on financial decision-making and resource allocation.
- Conducting financial analysis and risk assessments to evaluate investment opportunities and support business development initiatives.
- Implementing and assessing financial systems and processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Providing leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
The company expects its finance team to grow significantly in the next 24 months, so this position will play a key role in shaping that growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. MBA or advanced financial certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
- A minimum of ten years’ progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least five years in a senior financial leadership role in the oil and gas industry
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive financial initiatives.
