Our client is a leading and rapidly growing oil and gas production company, with operations in Texas as well as internationally, producing the resources needed for the next generation of our economy.

The Position:

Reporting to the CEO, the appointed CFO will be responsible for all strategic financial planning and execution, risk management, and will be a leading contributor to the success and growth of the company.  This will involve:

  • Developing and implementing the company’s financial strategy to support its growth and long-term financial objectives.
  • Collaborating with executive leadership to set financial goals and budgets, providing guidance on financial decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Conducting financial analysis and risk assessments to evaluate investment opportunities and support business development initiatives.
  • Implementing and assessing financial systems and processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

The company expects its finance team to grow significantly in the next 24 months, so this position will play a key role in shaping that growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. MBA or advanced financial certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
  • A minimum of ten years’ progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least five years in a senior financial leadership role in the oil and gas industry
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive financial initiatives.
