Chief executive officer

The CEO will be responsible for driving the Company’s vision, mission and long-term growth.

A junior exploration company based in Canada but focussed on West African gold assets, our client is currently private but is looking to list on the TSX.V within the next 12 months. Exploration is early stage but has the support of a strong shareholder base and team expertise in the West African market.

The appointed CEO will assume responsibility for:

• Developing and implementing long-term strategic plans to ensure the company’s growth and profitability, including Exploration Programs, M&A and Capital Raising
• Monitoring the performance of the company and ensuring that all activities are in line with strategic objectives
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and investors
• Travelling for investor conferences and to meet with shareholders and potential investors
• Reviewing and visiting potential project acquisition targets
• Overseeing the daily operations of the company
• Overseeing the recruitment and retention of staff
• Ensuring that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met, with support of legal and accounting departments

Essential Requirements:

• Experience of running and operating a successful exploration mining company
• Background in Capital Markets
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Experience with TSX listing application process

Preferred Requirements:

• Technical background in Geology, Geoscience, or similar field
• Working communication skills in French
• Knowledge of the West African market
