Business Development Manager

The Position:

Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, the appointed Business Development Manager will drive hardware revenue and pipeline with and through strategic partnerships and end users.  This will principally involve:

  • Picking up key relationships with partners and customers in the UK and internationally
  • Liaising with key decision makers in large corporate organisations
  • Negotiating prices and contracts and facilitating other complex discussions with multiple stakeholders
  • Targeting and recruiting new partnerships and alliances in new market segments
  • Working with other members of the sales team to align sales resources and assist in closing opportunities
  • Building strong cross-functional relationships internally with Product Management, Technical and Marketing functions, acting as a liaison and feedback mechanism from the field back into these teams
  • Attending and hosting exhibitions and expos

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Proven field sales experience in the POS/Kiosk sector
  • Experience of working with both end users and channel partners
  • A track record of achieving KPI, revenue and margin targets against tight deadlines
  • The ability to initiate, manage and close opportunities with a broad range of clients including multi-national enterprises
  • Strong new business (hunter) skillset
  • Competency in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook and, ideally, HubSpot
  • The ability to analyse and interpret commercial information and produce accurate quotes
