This exciting strategic opportunity is the result of both ongoing expansion and the launch of a game changing new structural building product anticipated to revolutionise the industry.
The Position:
The appointed Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
- Driving sales for a newly launched product in the construction industry while consolidating the sales of core structural component proposition
- Targeting main contractor, sub-contractor, architect/specification and structural engineering customers
- Enhancing existing client relationships while driving new business to achieve sales and profitability targets
- Working closely (and ensuring clear communication channels) with manufacturing, design and logistics teams to ensure service and delivery are consistent with contractual commitments
- Working closely with clients to interpret their commercial and specific structural requirements to provide turnkey technical solutions
- Promoting the company’s broad proposition throughout industry specific channels/exhibitions and marketing, ensuring the product range remains forefront of specification
The Candidate:
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- A proven track record of sales success within the building products industry (ideally specific structural solutions)
- The ability to read the future trends and requirements of the structural building industry, ensuring the company is ahead of the game and able to capitalise on new growth potential
- A solid reputation and standing with industry stakeholders resulting in a captive audience in relation to new product launch initiative
- A solid appreciation of manufacturing, design and logistics to ensure installation objectives are realised
- A strong grasp of marketing to work effectively with an internal team to maximise exposure of products to relevant and specific target audiences/channels
