    An award-winning provider of print, creative, data management and mailing services is presently looking to appoint a self-motivated and ambitious Business Development Manager in the South West of England.

    The Position:

    Working predominantly from home, the main scope of the role will be to identify new business opportunities across the South West of England and convert these prospects to clients to meet a sales target.  This will principally involve:

    • Sourcing new business through prospecting, social media communications and business marketing
    • Introducing new services, products and initiatives to existing clients and pitching for business
    • Achieving sales results through high-level business planning, networking and referral opportunities
    • Working within vertical market environments to build client portfolios for future business targets
    • Engaging in event management / social activities to build on relations and company PR
    • Working at SLA client levels and engaging with all stakeholders to meet business targets
    • Keeping up to date on new trends and products/services within the industry
    • Project management, budgeting and forecasting
    • Reporting on business performance, activity and results

    The Candidate:

    This is an outstanding opportunity that represents fantastic earning potential and massive scope for genuine career progression if you are able to demonstrate:

    • A minimum of two years’ new business sales / business development success
    • Proven experience in marketing communications, ideally Web2Print or Hybrid Mail, or alternately related large format print, digital print, litho printing, direct mail or data management
    • Experience of pitching to and closing clients both over the telephone and face to face
    • The ability to assess and manage priorities across multiple concurrent projects
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and networking skills
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical and planning skills
    • Assertive decision-making skills to escalate appropriately
    • The personal confidence to liaise with clients on budgets, initiatives, solutions and communication routes
    • Competence in the use of Microsoft technology and, ideally, Management Information Systems
    • The self-motivation and desire to succeed, grow and ultimately advance within the business
