Interested in joining a technically advanced and values-driven mining operation? A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Chief Metallurgist to join a well-established underground mining operation in Alaska.

This role offers the chance to lead the metallurgical function at a fully operational mill and concentrator, supporting a complex orebody and a strong safety culture.

Candidates currently based in Alaska or those open to relocating from elsewhere in the country are welcome to apply, however, a valid U.S. work authorization is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all metallurgical activities across crushing, grinding, flotation, gravity, and dewatering
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentoring to a team of Metallurgists
  • Develop and manage metallurgical models, forecasts, and budgets
  • Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, geology, and commercial teams to optimize performance and recoveries
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards

Ideal Background:

  • Degree in metallurgy, mineral processing, or a related discipline
  • Strong experience in a senior or supervisory metallurgical role within hard rock mining
  • Track record of improving metallurgical performance and leading technical teams
  • Safety-focused mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Poly-metallic metallurgy experience is preferred
