An established investment manager focused on opportunities in real assets, corporate debt, and private equity is currently looking to appoint an Associate for its investment team.

The Position:

The appointed Associate will play a critical role in the lifecycle of corporate private equity and corporate credit investments across broad industrial markets, with responsibilities to include: 

  • Evaluating and analyzing new investment opportunities
  • Financial and valuation modelling
  • Market research and comparative/industry analysis
  • Preparation of presentation materials to investment committee, fund investors, and portfolio company Advisory Boards of Directors
  • Participation in deal due diligence and management of outside service providers
  • Creation and review of regular cash flows, budgets, and business plans for portfolio investments
  • Working with management teams in developing and executing major strategic or financial initiatives (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, financings, annual budgets)
  • Monitoring and reporting on the fund’s investments
  • Maintain relationships with management teams, investors, investment bankers, lenders, lawyers, consultants, etc.
  • Assist in development of additional investment targets (e.g., analysis of themes, industries, and strategies that may warrant focused deal creation efforts)

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least two years’ experience within asset management, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance
  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics from a leading academic institution
  • Strong financial modelling, evaluation, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Exceptional focus on details, accuracy, and quality
  • The ability to work effectively within a fast-moving environment.
  • The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word.)
  • An intellectual curiosity and strong interest in investing.
