    Proven territory salesperson with specific fasteners experience required to develop the sales of fixing anchors to contractors, specifiers and merchants in the construction industry.

    The Position:

    Reporting to the Technical Sales Director, the successful candidate will be tasked with achieving sales and profit targets and maintaining customer loyalty, principally involving:

    • Communicating with existing and potential customers in person and by phone
    • Carrying out site visits and product demonstrations
    • Obtaining and forwarding orders in line with company policy
    • Presenting CPD seminars and training customers
    • Anchor testing at site
    • Providing technical support and applications advice
    • Producing the highest possible margins and maintaining correct payment terms

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

    • A minimum of three years’ field sales experience
    • Strong knowledge of construction fixings and their application on site
    • Experience of selling to contractors, specifiers and merchants
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
    • Computer literacy – good use of Excel/Power Point
    • Commercial awareness and solid negotiating skills
    • An ability to develop and secure new business as well as build on existing relationships
    • Self-motivation, persistence and strong organisational abilities
