The appointed Surveyor Team Lead will use 3D laser scanning technology to capture reality on construction projects in London and surrounding areas, subsequently processing the data in the office.

The Position:

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive visual record of what has and hasn’t been completed on construction projects.  Based predominantly on-site therefore, you will help capture important construction projects milestones using industry-leading reality capture tools. Key tasks will include:

  • 3D laser scanning using Leica Geosystems’ cutting-edge hardware
  • Creating 2D & 3D photo and UAV (drone) reality capture of construction projects
  • Working on all kinds of buildings and site projects, primarily in and around London
  • Providing a fast and reliable service to customers
  • Liaising with clients to set-up and close projects, dealing with problems and identifying potential new business opportunities
  • Training new operatives on the use of the 3D laser scanning equipment
  • Helping to prepare and review quotes with the sales team

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Experience in the use of Leica Geosystems technology on construction / surveying projects
  • Strong knowledge of reality capture technology (cameras, drones, webcams, laser scanners etc)
  • A full and clean UK driving licence and CSCS card
  • The ability to understand customer needs and manage/build strong customer relationships
  • Strong communication skills and a knack for committing to a project
  • Experience of leading/managing/supervising a team
  • Superior organisational and time management skills
  • High quality of work and a fine attention to detail
  • Software knowledge encompassing Leica Register360, Cyclone, Cyclone 3DR, Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit
