Supply Chain Manager

Based both on-site (predominantly) and off-site, the Supply Chain Manager will ensure the consistency, cost effectiveness and efficiency of procurement processes for a Phase 3 Project.
The Position:
Reporting to the Phase 3 Project Director, the appointed Supply Chain Manager will assume responsibility for:
- Providing supply chain management leadership for Phase 3
- Managing and improving the Phase 3 procurement strategies and cost management initiatives
- Developing and maintaining project procurement and contracting plans / schedules
- Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing bids from suppliers
- Leading negotiations for service agreements, equipment supply and construction contracts
- Ensuring compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
- Expediting supplier-provided engineering information and equipment deliveries
- Managing the delivery of equipment and owner supplier materials to site
- Managing and improving procurement and supply chain KPIs for Phase 3, including metrics to assess and measure supplier performance
- Maintaining knowledge of current trends in the market that may impact pricing of equipment, materials or other purchases
- Managing, coaching and supporting the Phase 3 supply chain team
- Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results
The Candidate:
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- A minimum undergraduate degree, ideally in business or engineering
- At least 10 years’ procurement experience
- Extensive knowledge of sourcing and supply chain management
- The ability to develop sourcing strategies and deliver successful project implementation
- Strong cross functional team and project leadership skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- A highly organized and detail-oriented approach
- General contract law knowledge with respect to contractual terms and conditions
