Service Engineer

Home-based Service Engineer required with proven experience in the maintenance of electronic anesthesia equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding within 24 hours to customer calls for anesthesia equipment, with priority to key accounts
  • Effective management of the service area, including promoting new contracts and agreeing renewals
  • Project management and coordination of large installations
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits on time and to agreed levels
  • Completing all documentation and related logs in a correct and timely manner
  • Assisting the sales and marketing team as technical support
  • Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and liaising with the service supervisor to ensure they are calibrated
  • Maintaining spare parts inventory, company vehicle and other company equipment and supplies
  • Conducting some training of clinical staff on designated equipment

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree and at least two years’ experience servicing electronic equipment OR a high school diploma and at least six years’ experience servicing electronic equipment
  • A good command of both written and spoken English
  • Skilled use of computers and office software capabilities
  • Technical proficiency in the troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of anesthesia products
  • Good organizational skills to function independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Strong customer-orientation and interpersonal skills
  • An enthusiastic demeanor and a can-do attitude.
  • Full driving license and good driving record
  • Comfortable travelling on a daily basis with occasional overnight stays
