Proven SEO specialist required for an established IT service provider working with clients in a range of sectors.

The Position:

As this is a new role within the business, it is envisaged that it will begin at roughly four to five days a month, likely to increase to between ten and fifteen days per month after several months, with a real possibility that the role could become full time in the medium/longer term.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the evolution and development of on-page and technical SEO practices.
  • Conducting detailed and comprehensive audits of client websites
  • Devising effective SEO strategies and campaigns to increase and optimize traffic.
  • Researching and analyzing search engine algorithms.
  • Developing and implementing link building strategies
  • Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on website traffic, ranking performance, user behavior and other key metrics.
  • Staying up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing trends
  • Supporting the Account Manager with identification of SEO KPIs
  • Identifying problems and implementing solutions
  • Providing advice and recommendations for clients and team members on how to improve website performance.

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • At least three years’ proven experience of achieving excellent SEO results through organic search.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS and web development technologies
  • Experience of implementing technical SEO fixes (eg content structure, status codes, crawl and indexability errors)
  • Knowledge of keyword research / data analysis tools and SEO best practices
  • Extensive understanding of SEO tools including Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, GSC and other web analytics tools
  • Experience of performing in-depth technical and on-page SEO audits on a range of sites.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • A general knowledge of other aspects of digital marketing, including PPC, Content Marketing and CRO
