    A small but rapidly expanding building surveying consultancy, our client’s increasing workload has brought about an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to help further this expansion and to progress in time to Director level.

    The Position:

    The successful candidate will ideally reside close to our client’s West Yorkshire base but projects are nationwide so applications from candidates living further afield are also welcomed.  Key responsibilities will include:

    • Surveying duties including technical due diligence, pre-acquisition, condition surveys and planned preventative maintenance
    • Dilapidations, party wall matters and project/contract administration
    • Design and specification for refurbishment and extensions
    • Project monitoring and technical audits
    • Access audits and fire risk assessments

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

    • Minimum MRICS and relevant degree qualifications
    • At least five years’ previous experience of working for a chartered building surveying consultancy
    • Proven experience of quality monitoring and valuation within the commercial, education and/or distribution sectors
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • A full and clean UK driving licence
    • Proficiency in the use of IT and Microsoft Office applications
