Sales Team Coordinator

    An established integrator of security and building control technology is presently looking to appoint a highly organised and methodical sales coordinator to play an integral part in its business development process and provide vital support to the sales and bid writing teams.

    The Position:

    Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for:

    • Handling all incoming sales enquires for new installations and allocating these to Business Development Managers in a timely manner, following up as appropriate
    • Booking site surveys for Business Development Managers and Engineers
    • Ensuring that quotes and tenders are issued within specified deadlines
    • Preparing and delivering new business proposals, including narrative writing
    • Direct communication with customers to ensure quote statuses are updated
    • Liaison with Finance department to produce pipeline and new business reports
    • Organising monthly sales team meetings
    • Proactively following up sales quotations to maximise order conversion rates
    • Cross selling the company’s products and services wherever possible
    • Supporting quality initiatives such as NSI Gold, ISO 9001:2008
    • Ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act and company/statutory Health & Safety legislation

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

    • Previous experience as a sales office manager or in a sales coordination, support or administration role
    • Good knowledge of the tendering processes in relation to contractors, building owners, property managers, architects and/or specifiers
    • Ideally some prior involvement in the building services sector (access control, CCTV, gates & barriers, distributed television, fire detection, emergency lighting, BMS or HVAC controls, for example)
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office packages and CRM systems
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
    • The ability to prioritise and problem solve effectively across multiple concurrent projects
