US Sales Director

The Sales Director will be responsible for the promotion of anticounterfeiting technologies that enable clients to protect their products and brands against illicit activities.

The Position:

Playing a key role in the company’s success in the US and Canada, the appointed Sales Director will:

  • Prospect and build sales opportunities with companies that develop differentiated products and market leading brands
  • Target some of the biggest companies in the consumer-packaged goods, spirits, pharmaceuticals, life sciences and agricultural chemicals industries
  • Knowledgeably promote brand protection, product authentication, and anticounterfeiting solutions both directly to prospects and at conferences
  • Respond to company and self-generated leads and identify, prospect and close opportunities across brand owners to meet revenue and margin targets
  • Qualify opportunities and manage through the sales process to deal closure, documenting and tracking deal progress using company’s CRM tools
  • Lead and create content for proposals and bid opportunities with the support of the bid team
  • Manage assigned customers to a high degree of customer satisfaction to ensure contracts are retained and business expands
  • Be an active industry expert, creating points of view and representing the company on social media and key events

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of five years’ senior technical/solution sales experience involving prospecting to and closing brand owners
  • Advanced knowledge in anti-counterfeiting technologies, brand protection, track & trace, serialization program integrity, product authentication and/or printing and packaging processes
  • The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Experience of prospecting and closing new opportunities across the Pharma, Spirits, AgChem, Life
  • Sciences, Electronics, Apparel, and/or CPG market segments
  • A willingness to travel extensively (60% of the time) across the US and Canada
  • The ability to lead cross-functional teams in the company including resources from sales, marketing, engineering, and finance
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact at C Level both internally and externally
  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in computer or materials science, business, marketing, engineering or similar
