This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia’s fastest-growing tech start-ups which is benefiting from a boom period in the mining industry and has achieved 10x revenue growth in the past 12 months.

The Position:

The appointed Sales & Business Development Manager will be the leading force in market penetration and customer acquisition and will engage with SMB and SME companies across Australia.  This is a foundational appointment for our client and one in which you will have direct input into the company’s overall sales, marketing and brand strategy.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating leads and owning the first conversation / touchpoint with prospects
  • Engaging with decision makers and influencers in SME and SMB accounts as the face of the brand
  • Understanding customer problems on a high level with relevant information for each prospect and company
  • Qualifying leads and demonstrating the company’s technology stack
  • Asking strong discovery questions and highlighting customer pains
  • Clearly articulating the value proposition in pitches and handling objections with education (ie before they arise)
  • Collaborating with marketing for education and awareness campaigns (events, webinars, trade shows, media etc)

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • A passion for all things digital and a strong grasp of technology
  • A minimum of three years’ cold call, customer management and sales experience
  • Resilience, lateral thinking and a willingness to get stuck in
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to be patient with people
  • Strong personal empathy to consider all situations from the customer’s point of view
