Proven technology sales professional required to drive market share and brand recognition in US and Canadian maritime markets.
The Position:
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will:
- Meet or exceed sales revenue, sales profitability, new customer acquisition, and customer satisfaction goals
- Generate new business opportunities and manage the sales process through closure of the sale
- Make presentations, prepare proposals, and conduct negotiations regarding pricing and terms
- Develop sales and customer strategies to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Generate and manage an active sales pipeline, qualifying opportunities, and accurately forecast sales
- Ensure customer satisfaction and participate in trade shows and conferences
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales goals and strategies for your assigned markets and forecasts
Requirements:
- A minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent business / industry experience
- At least 5 years’ commercial experience in the maritime sector, with a relevant portfolio of contacts and relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and ideally also French)
- A willingness to work in a start-up environment without the traditional support of a large corporate office
- Ideally some knowledge of inertial navigation systems (INS), from sensor to system level, marine electronics or integration of sensors in marine survey environments
- Solution-oriented leadership skills and strong customer focus
