This is an exciting new opportunity to increase international market share for a European-based provider of asset tracking technology for the mining industry.

The Position:

The appointed Regional Business Development Manager will assume responsibility for:

  • Identifying and closing opportiities for new business development to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Establishing and leading targeted account growth strategies and campaigns
  • Attending regular international trade and industry events within the enterprise and mining sectors
  • Working with analysts on customer research including operating sites, mine life, development projects, key individuals, budget holders, influencers, existing software footprint, existing spend, attrition history, competitor presence, etc

The Candidate:

Applicants will be required to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience and a strong network of contacts within the mining industry
  • A minimum of five years’ consultative and technical solution sales experience at C-Suite level
  • Significant time spent operationally within mines, often very remote, sometimes deep underground
  • A strong appreciation of the regional cultures and socio-political differences within and across the territory
  • Advanced negotiation, communication, closing and contractual abilities
  • Fluent written and communication skills in English and one or more additional languages relevant to the territory
