A Canadian-based mineral exploration company is presently seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified Project Geologist to play an active role in the company’s Quebec based projects.

The Opportunity:

Independent contractors with sole proprietorship and the ability to invoice the company are preferred. Projects are predominantly gold but there will also be an opportunity to get involved in an exciting lithium project towards the end of the year.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Data analysis and target generation
  • Overseeing core logging and mentoring the logging geologist
  • Assisting with drill line ups and end-of-hole procedures
  • Ensuring overall productions in the core shack and on the drill are adequate
  • Monitoring quality assurance/quality control
  • Daily reporting of drilling activities

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • At least three years’ mineral exploration experience
  • OGQ (Order of Geologists of Quebec) membership
  • The capacity to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Proven experience in core logging on projects in metamorphic terranes
  • Proficiency in technical report writing and communications
  • Strong knowledge of GIS and 3D software programs such as ArcGIS, Target, Geoscience Analyst
  • A strong commitment to safety culture
  • P.Geo (preferred but not essential)
