Our client is a lower middle market private equity firm based in New York City that makes both minority growth and control investments in partnership with high-quality executives through its “Executive-First” investment strategy.

The firm invests in companies with EBITDA ranging from $3 million to $20 million across a broad range of industries (including B2B, Industrials, Niche Manufacturing, Healthcare and more) with a particular focus on businesses with repeat or recurring revenues. They invest a committed capital fund, comprised of top-tier institutional and sophisticated private investors.

What this Role Requires:

  • Sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities
  • Conducting due diligence of potential investment opportunities
  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • Managing 3rd party service providers
  • Portfolio monitoring
  • Developing relationships with and working with management
  • Evaluating add-on opportunities
  • Sourcing and evaluating prospective CEOs (executive partners)
  • Performing other responsibilities, as necessary

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum four years of work experience with at least two–three years with a private equity firm
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university
  • Strong work ethic and initiative – self starter
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and passion for growth within the firm
  • Ability to multi-task and work with multiple people
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong financial modeling, accounting and due diligence skills
  • Ability to analyze a wide variety of business models
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating internally as well as with advisors, management teams and financing sources
  • Knowledge of the deal process
  • Has actively participated in closed platform investments
