The successful candidate will enhance and develop new features in our client’s video analytics solution and will need experience relating to software design, software architecture, computer vision, security and cloud computing.

The Position:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to work with cross functional teams such as product development and data science and to lead the design of our client’s computer vision and related spatial analytics technologies.   Based from the company’s London office and reporting to the UK VP of Engineering, key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing, reviewing, testing and deploying new features
  • Supporting and maintaining production systems
  • Working with Development, Architecture, Support and DevOps teams to enhance the SaaS platform
  • Technical team oversight and mentoring

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • At least five years’ commercial experience in software development
  • A minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent industry experience) in computer science or a related technical field
  • Experience with ML / deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, OpenCV etc
  • Extensive C++ and Python development experience
  • Experience with IaaS / PaaS solution architectures, eg AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
  • Solid understanding of development, release and support lifecycles
  • Excellent working knowledge of Unix / Linux Operating Systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to self-manage
  • Experience designing systems that utilise video-based computer vision algorithms
  • Scripting skills, eg Perl, Python, Bash
  • Credited research and / or community experience in the fields of spatial analysis or computer

  • Solid working knowledge of streaming video processing techniques:  Formats, codecs, frame rates, frame types etc
