The Investor Relations Manager will play a key role and work directly with the CEO to lead the development and execution of the Company’s investor relations objectives / plan.

Our client is a multi-project mineral exploration company actively engaged in precious and base metals exploration across North America. With a team of highly skilled exploration geologists and geoscientists, they have a strong cash position and a revered revenue generating business model.

The incumbent will help to manage the flow of key financial and corporate information between the Company, its shareholders, and the financial and investment communities. One of the primary goals of the role will be to attract and retain investors, maximize the Company’s visibility, and increase public support and awareness.

This role will provide an opportunity to work with a cross-functional, close-knit team and learn about all aspects of the Company’s operations and teams. This individual will be responsible for communicating with key stakeholders to keep them informed of company developments and ensuring that the investment community is well informed and positioned on the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or advanced degree in Commerce or Corporate Communications.
  • Additional financial training or MBA or CFA would be highly preferred to be utilized in the interpretation of financial modelling results.
  • Minimum of five to eight years of investor relations experience is required in the mining/junior exploration sector), with solid capital markets knowledge, equity research or comparable experience.
  • Experience working directly with senior executives and senior investment executives.
  • Experience speaking and communicating with analysts, investors, and the media.
  • Proven demonstration of the ability to discern between information that can be provided to third parties vs. information that is internally confidential.
  • Ability to grow and maintain an extensive network of industry contacts.
  • An understanding of geology and exploration would be highly preferred.
  • Skilled at communicating across various social media platforms: e.g. Twitter, Instagram, FB, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities simultaneously using excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards on accuracy is critical.
  • High degree of business acumen and ability to think strategically.
  • A pro-active self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of graphics software, such as Adobe Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of Maximizer or similar database management software, Bloomberg, Factset, Capital IQ, BD Corporate.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills (oral, written and presentation) with the proven ability to facilitate meetings.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of your time.
