International EPC Sales Manager

A leading developer of turnkey renewable energy plant is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic International Sales Manager to win and deliver full cycle solar projects throughout the European EPC sector.

The Position:

This is a strategically important hire for our client and will report into multiple Divisional Heads and Directors across the business.  The company’s mission is to advance large-scale photovoltaics to meet the growing global demand for clean electricity. The EPC Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Preparing EPC cost estimations and budgets at all project stages, in collaboration with procurement and construction teams
  • Advising on cost developments for PV power plant components and services
  • Benchmarking and analysis of projects during and after the execution phase
  • Maintaining a cost database to continuously improve cost estimation quality by analysis of various sources of cost data
  • Preparing EPC Offers towards 3rd-parties including pricing, timeline, contractual terms, quality, and technical solution
  • Supporting the EPC Project Managers in the preparation of “Make or Buy” decisions
  • Supporting the digitalization of business processes connected to cost management, controlling and procurement processes or participation in EPC tenders

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a pure EPC contractor within Europe
  • Previous delivery of at least one complete project (tender to completion)
  • A strong technical understanding of solar photovoltaic technology
  • Experience of closing JVs, JBPs
  • An understanding of contract negotiation at a high, complex level
  • A degree qualification in engineering or business
  • Expertise on costs, planning, structure, and function of PV power plants
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Professional skill level in Data Analytics, MS Office 365 and related IT applications
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, and ideally other European languages(s)
