    Having recently added ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations to the ISO 9001 certification it was awarded several years ago, our client is presently looking to appoint a proven compliance professional to manage and deliver heath & safety, environmental and quality management systems across the business and its onsite operations.

    The Position:

    Operating from our clients’ West Yorkshire headquarters, the appointed HSEQ Manager will assume responsibility for:

    • Carrying out H&S risk assessments, site inspections fire risk assessments and audits
    • Delivering training and compliance advice to all staff
    • Leading and driving process improvements in relation to HSEQ compliance
    • Driving towards an intrinsic health & safety culture across the wider business
    • Providing written reports of findings and detailed actions to Clients
    • Completing accident investigations when required
    • Regular review of H&S documentation and developing new policies, systems taking into account new and current legislation, best practice and business needs
    • Reviewing internal management systems against internal and external requirements, supporting company compliance and continual improvement
    • Creating an effective internal ISO Audit Programme

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

    • A minimum of three years’ health & safety, environment and quality management experience in a contracting / field-based environment
    • Strong knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
    • Minimum NEBOSH/IOSH qualification
    • Knowledge of confined space H&S considerations and new regulations covering the storage and handling of flammable liquids and fuels
    • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
    • Impartiality in fact finding and confidence in presenting findings and solutions to senior management
    • Experience of engaging with external auditing bodies preparing and presenting business processes and practices to ensure auditing standards are met

    An established provider of refuelling systems for customers throughout the UK, our client manages complete installation and commissioning projects encompassing fuel tanks, dispensing pumps, gauges, oil tanks environmental services, additive application systems, site audits and ancillary groundworks.  The company’s customer base ranges from retail forecourts and commercial fleet depots through to larger scale industrial installations.
