Finance & Technology Manager

    £50,000 to £60,000 (DoE)

    As part of its continued expansion, our client is looking to appoint an outstanding IT/Technology Officer with extensive NetSuite experience and a strong foundation of financial acumen that the company will develop with ongoing training.

    The Position:

    Based at our client’s UK office and reporting directly to the Managing Director, the appointed Finance & Technology Manager will head up the company’s financial and administration teams.

    Financial responsibilities:

    • Ensuring adequate financial systems, processes and systems of internal control to ensure the integrity of financial data
    • Controlling the assets of the business
    • Ensuring optimum results by managing staffing levels and workload
    • Meeting all reporting requirements and deadlines
    • Overall tax and statutory compliance
    • Continual focus on cost reduction including evaluating opportunities to reduce costs as well as extremely close scrutiny of all costs particularly the warehouse and shipping bills
    • Negotiation with suppliers to secure best prices as well as resolving pricing differences / overcharges on bills
    • Relationship building with suppliers
    • Identifying and engaging new suppliers that are able to improve customer experience or reduce costs
    • Extending the existing Business Intelligence capability to ensure that knowledge is shared with the correct people on a regular basis
    • Customer credit control and collections to manage debtors within agreed parameters
    • Oversight over all supplier payments

    Technology responsibilities:

    • Overall control of all new and existing hardware and software systems including NetSuite (new,) Google Apps (new,) One Drive and VOIP platform
    • General office IT support
    • Liaison with head office on any IT Requirements and general tech support as well as specialised NetSuite development
    • Identifying, designing, specifying, implementing and supporting all new tech platforms / products and development
    • Ongoing management and support of existing platforms / products
    • Continuous improvement of the technology base of the Group

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

    • A minimum of three years’ experience working with the Oracle NetSuite package
    • Relevant experience in accounting, controlling, financial management or similar
    • Strong lateral thinking and problem solving skills
    • Proven relationship building capability, with Staff, Suppliers and Customers
    • A strong personality with high self-esteem and confidence
    • Proven leadership and team building abilities
    • An openness to criticism and direct feedback
    • The ability to work effectively in small to medium teams/environments/businesses
    • A willingness to escalate and/or seek assistance when overwhelmed
    • Strong prioritising skills and judgement when there are many tasks to complete
