Field Service Engineer

This is a fantastic and newly opened position covering the planned and reactive maintenance of veterinary diagnostic equipment.
The Position:
- Project managing installations within the service territory and coordinating the installation of large orders if required
- Completing all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits on time and to the levels outlined in the service manual
- Carrying out all documentation and logs in a correct and timely manner
- Assisting the sales and marketing team with technical support, new service contracts and customer renewals
- Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and liaising with the service supervisor to ensuring correct calibration
- Maintaining a spare parts inventory, company vehicle (if provided), and other company equipment and supplies in good condition and working order
- Occasional training of clinical staff on designated equipment
The Candidate:
Applicants will be able to demonstrate either:
- A bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience in the servicing of electronic equipment
- A high school diploma and six years’ experience in the servicing of electronic equipment
Other requirements include:
- Knowledge of electronic biomedical equipment / IVD equipment (ideally including hematology analyzers)
- A good command of both written and spoken English
- Skilled use of computers and office software
- Technical proficiency in equipment troubleshooting, repair, and calibration
- Strong organizational skills and ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Strong customer-orientation, good interpersonal abilities, an enthusiastic demeanor and a can-do attitude
- Full driving license and good driving record
- A willingness to travel on a daily basis and have occasional overnight stays
