Field Service Engineer

    £30,000 to £40,000 + Vehicle + Overtime + Pension + Life Insurance

    NVQ Level 3 qualified or part qualified lift service engineer required for our client’s maintenance team covering the London area.

    The Position:

    The appointed Service Engineer will be responsible for:

    • Carrying out regular planned preventative maintenance and service visits
    • Attending lift breakdown callouts to carry out minor lift repairs
    • Meeting agreed customer response times
    • Building good relationships with clients
    • Providing regular updates to the Service Manager
    • Becoming an integral part of the regional 24/7 Standby/Callout rota
    • Carrying out maintenance on competitors’ lifts
    • Basic LG1 examinations

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

    • A minimum of three years’ field service experience in the lifts industry
    • Good problem-solving skills and an ability to work on own initiative
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service abilities
    • Knowledge of modernisation, installation and refurbishment
    • The desire to succeed and progress to greater levels of responsibility in a growing business
    • Confidence to work on a range of manufacturers’ equipment
    • Willingness to commit to an on-call standby rota
    • A full UK driving licence
