This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading intelligent transport solutions specialist with its own hardware platform, in-house software development and end-to-end integration capabilities.

The Position:

Following some internal changes, our client has a critical position they are now looking to fill for a Field Engineering Manager to cover the following responsibilities across Yorkshire and the East Midlands:

  • Managing health and safety for the field service engineering team (payroll and subcontractors) in line with statutory and company requirements
  • Installing, repairing and commissioning on-bus and on-street display equipment
  • Efficiently and safely managing field engineering personnel (and their performance)
  • Hiring of labour to fulfil pre-planned and occasionally immediate, unplanned work
  • Training of staff and management of their safety
  • Managing stock levels for spare parts and equipment held at the South Yorkshire facility
  • Purchasing new equipment as required in line with the company’s authorisation policy
  • Vehicle maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and company requirements
  • Managing the South Yorkshire regional office and warehouse facility

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds 2365 level 2
  • G39/1 Working in the vicinity of DNO equipment
  • NEBOSH Health & Safety at Work
  • NRSWA Signing, Lighting and Guarding – Unit 002
