    We are looking to hear from proven Event Managers who can demonstrate and deliver full concept events including sourcing venues, suppliers, service providers and partners.

    The Position:

    Leading a small events team and meeting objectives relating to distribution of resources, internal training and team growth, the appointed Senior Events Manager will focus on first class project delivery through:

    • Managing pro-active communication with assigned clients to enhance and grow existing relationships
    • Leading the on-time and within-budget delivery of events that meet and exceed client expectations
    • Preparing clear timelines and priorities on every project, as agreed with the client
    • Providing management for team members in responding to client briefs and generating compelling proposals
    • Demonstrating excellent customer service to deliver consistent and high- level events
    • Take a leading role in hosting clients during events and on site/destination visits
    • Researching venues, suppliers and service providers both in the UK and internationally
    • Leading strong supplier relationships on assigned projects
    • Overall accountability for operational and administrative functions to maximise event efficiency
    • Full responsibility for the agreed client budget/spend on assigned projects

    Although you will generally work normal office hours in the lead up to an event, the role will require you to be present on each of the events you are managing or to work unsociable hours (evenings/weekends) if the project requires this.  Full notice is always provided.

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be required to demonstrate:

    • A minimum of three years’ experience managing events of more than 1,000 delegates
    • Proven ability to develop strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities
    • Clear leadership abilities gained in a previous team management / supervisory capacity
    • Strong operational flair to ensure that all assigned projects are delivered to time, budget and agreed SLA’s
    • A track record of following clear project management methodologies and budget controls
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent on-site attention to detail
    • Highly proficient financial acumen and budget control
    • Proven experience of presenting and pitching new services to clients
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office media, Social Media communications and on-line portals
    • A willingness to travel both internationally and throughout the UK, regularly outside of office hours
    • A full UK driving license
