European Sales Manager

    A global supplier of fibre optic structured cabling, connectivity hardware and network security products for the IT and telecommunications industries is presently seeking a proven international sales professional to increase market share and brand recognition across Europe.

    The Position:

    Based from the company’s European Distribution centre in Ireland but involving significant travel throughout Europe, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for:

    • Promoting the full product range to industrial end users, data centers, electrical contractors and specialist data installers
    • Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and following through to close/completion
    • Developing a customer pipeline to deliver long term new business growth
    • Designing and implementing a strategic development plan to meet sales targets
    • Preparing and presenting regular updates on key account development, project opportunities, sales/margin forecasts and market intelligence at sales meetings
    • Delivering the highest level of customer service to all potential and existing European customers in every area of contact
    • Maintaining knowledge about current market trends, market performance and competitor activity

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

    • A track record of success in international field sales
    • Experience in the telecommunications hardware, cabling technology and/or IT services sectors
    • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and closing skills
    • An outgoing and persuasive personal style
    • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and, ideally, another European language
    • Energy, enthusiasm, drive and determination
