    The appointed Estimator will report to the Director of our client’s Demolition team at its Hampshire headquarters but will also travel frequently to numerous potential sites.

    The Position:

    The size, complexity and geographical location of projects will vary considerably but will generally occur throughout the South of England, with key responsibilities to include:

    • Pricing demolition work worth in excess of one million pounds in value
    • Understanding the industry standards that are required to be met
    • Engaging with specialist subcontractors, suppliers, designers and utility companies
    • Ensuring that submitted tenders are accurate and competitive
    • Establishing what resources are required for the efficient completion of projects
    • Maintaining good relationships with clients, consultants and colleagues
    • Ensuring adherence to company and statutory health, safety and environmental guidelines

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

    • A minimum of five years’ estimating experience
    • Demolition experience across a wide variety of building types and forms of construction
    • IDE membership
    • A good level of educational attainment, ideally with a construction/demolition related qualification
    • Excellent IT skills
    • A full driving licence
    • A firm understanding of contractual requirements including drawn information, scope of works and specifications
