Distribution Sales Account Manager

Based ideally in New Jersey, this is a position which could equally be carried out successfully on a remote / home-based basis anywhere in United States.
The Position:
The appointed Distribution Sales Account Manager will:
- Work through distribution channels and existing customers to achieve sales targets and revenue growth
- Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key customers and distribution accounts
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of our client’s products and solutions to achieve quota and assigned strategic account objectives
- Serve as the key regional contact to all IVD end-user and distribution accounts
- Own all aspects of product launches, including competitive trends, product positioning, pricing, forecasting, material, and operational logistics
- Work with various functional teams to streamline the logistic and service support for distributors and customers
- Collaborate with sales support for inventory planning to ensure timely sales order fulfilment
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing distributor accounts through up-selling and cross-selling
- Provide sales training to distributors, developing and delivering sales tools including proposal generators, presentations, sales calls, etc
The Candidate:
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- A minimum bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, business administration marketing, or related
- At least five years’ B2B/B2C distribution sales or account management experience, preferably in hematology, chemistry and/or medical devices
- The ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at C-level
- Working knowledge of diagnostic clinical workflow for laboratory and POCT testing
- Strong working knowledge of the IVD, R&D and laboratory environment in the U.S.
- A measurable track record of success in consistently meeting established objectives
- The ability to travel extensively to attend trade shows, conferences, and meetings (Up to 40% of the time)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
