Distribution Sales Account Manager

Based ideally in New Jersey, this is a position which could equally be carried out successfully on a remote / home-based basis anywhere in United States.

The Position:

The appointed Distribution Sales Account Manager will:

  • Work through distribution channels and existing customers to achieve sales targets and revenue growth
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key customers and distribution accounts
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of our client’s products and solutions to achieve quota and assigned strategic account objectives
  • Serve as the key regional contact to all IVD end-user and distribution accounts
  • Own all aspects of product launches, including competitive trends, product positioning, pricing, forecasting, material, and operational logistics
  • Work with various functional teams to streamline the logistic and service support for distributors and customers
  • Collaborate with sales support for inventory planning to ensure timely sales order fulfilment
  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing distributor accounts through up-selling and cross-selling
  • Provide sales training to distributors, developing and delivering sales tools including proposal generators, presentations, sales calls, etc

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, business administration marketing, or related
  • At least five years’ B2B/B2C distribution sales or account management experience, preferably in hematology, chemistry and/or medical devices
  • The ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at C-level
  • Working knowledge of diagnostic clinical workflow for laboratory and POCT testing
  • Strong working knowledge of the IVD, R&D and laboratory environment in the U.S.
  • A measurable track record of success in consistently meeting established objectives
  • The ability to travel extensively to attend trade shows, conferences, and meetings (Up to 40% of the time)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
