Our client is presently seeking a counsel-level candidate with at least eight years’ experience for its FinTech and Blockchain practice.

This position has an expectation of regular office attendance but can be based at any of our client’s multiple US offices.

The firm’s FinTech and Blockchain practice focuses on representing digital asset trading platforms, blockchain technology companies, U.S. and non-U.S. broker-dealers, financial services firms, and cryptocurrency funds.

The successful candidate will therefore work with blockchain technology companies, financial institutions and digital asset exchanges on securities law issues, private placement agent requirements, custody rule requirements, cross-border regulatory issues, as well as FINRA and SEC regulatory inquiries.

The successful candidate will also structure deals involving technology companies, digital asset exchanges and blockchain token offerings.  There will be regular assistance for both financial services firms and their vendors in negotiating U.S. and cross-border technology agreements for all types of services and considering the U.S. securities laws and broker-dealer regulatory issues associated with such technologies.

Candidates must have extensive experience with U.S. federal securities laws and interaction with the SEC.  Specific Blockchain and/or FinTech experience is strongly preferred, and applicants must be admitted to or eligible to seek immediate admission in their relevant state.
