The Clinical Education Specialist will provide product, marketing and clinical support to veterinary customers and sales/marketing managers for in-services, pre-sales, evaluations, follow up visits and troubleshooting. 

The Position:

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Assist Product Managers and Engineering personnel with the improvement of existing products and the design of new products
  • Assist marketing teams with product launch planning and participation in trade shows
  • Conduct in-servicing for the medical imaging system (MIS) line of products
  • Identify customer needs and set training and demo schedules/agendas to accommodate those needs
  • Conduct follow up visits and phone calls to maintain a constant relationship with the customer and promote the continued education on the use of the MIS product line
  • Assist sales teams in customer evaluations and pre-sale situations by presenting and demonstrating the relevant clinical application(s)
  • Provide support, training, installation and troubleshooting to distributors and/or end users by telephone or visits
  • Identify critical issues (whether they be education, product, hospital, or departmental issues) and work to find solutions

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • LVT/RVT/CVT with a license from an accredited vet education institution
  • Active clinical experience in veterinary specialty areas directly using ultrasound and X-ray equipment on vet patients
  • Experience in the education of other vet techs or DVMs in the use of equipment, either through formal staff development or preceptor programs (strongly preferred)
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills to provide training to the customer base
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with many levels of marketing, sales, and engineering personnel at the divisional or corporate level as well as with all levels of hospital personnel including DVMs, Hospital Administrators, Vet technicians and Purchasing Agents
  • The ability to determine the education needs of diverse clinical units and specialties
  • Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel by car or by airplane nationally and occasionally internationally up to 80% of the time, or whatever is required to meet customer needs
