Clinical Marketing Application Specialist

This position will involve extensive travel (80% of the time) across the US and occasionally further afield, so the successful candidate can be based either close to our client’s US headquarters in New Jersey or within 50 miles of a major US airport.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing product and clinical support to customers and distribution sales managers for in-services, pre-sales, evaluations, follow up visits and troubleshooting
  • Assisting Product Managers and Engineering personnel with the improvement of existing products, the design of new products and the identification of target markets
  • Assisting with marketing communications, trade show planning, webinar/events organization and product launch planning
  • Participating in trade shows and working the booth alongside the sales team
  • Assisting the sales team in customer evaluations and pre-sales situations, presenting relevant clinical applications
  • Providing support and troubleshooting to distributors and/or end users by telephone or visiting the account to identify the critical issues
  • Conducting in-servicing for the full line of products, identifying customer needs and setting the training schedule
  • Carrying out follow up visits and phone calls to maintain a constant and open relationship with the customer to promote continued education
  • Acting as a liaison between the customer and other departments such as Technical Support, Service, Engineering and Product Management
  • Aggregating and tracking the common feedback/issues

The Candidate: 

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • The ability to work independently in the field and make decisions regarding the education needs of customers
  • A current license from an accredited veterinary education institution
  • At least five years’ active clinical experience in veterinary specialty areas directly using endoscopy, respiratory therapy, RVT, CVT, vet telemetry systems, anesthesia machines, IV or Syringe pumps, monitors and/or other equipment
  • Knowledge of ventilation modes, anesthetic drug delivery, and IBP monitoring
  • Experience in the education of other vet techs or DVMs, using equipment, either through formal staff development or preceptor programs (strongly preferred)
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills to provide training to the customer base
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with many levels of marketing, sales, and engineering personnel at the divisional or corporate level
  • Experience of working with all levels of hospital personnel including Surgeons, Hospital Administrators, Vet technicians and Purchasing Agents
  • Technical capability to understand all products and a clinical understanding of the application of these products in numerous clinical settings
  • Flexibility to last minute changes in schedules and a good work ethic to provide adequate instruction of products in a timely fashion
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
