    Proven bi-lingual (French/English) technology sales professional required to consolidate and further increase our client’s share of the EMEA smart water and energy metering market.

    The Position:

    The appointed Business Development manager will assume responsibility for:

    • Preparing and deploying a commercial strategic plan for France and international markets
    • Understanding client needs, determining prices, benchmarking competitors and delivering competitive solutions
    • Identifying and converting new customers to develop brand recognition and market share within EMEA utilities segment
    • Building and submitting offers in response to tenders, including commercial and contract negotiation
    • Managing a sales engineer: Outlining role/goals and benchmarking to these objectives
    • Establishing processes, participating in steering committees and reporting commercial KPIs

    The Candidate:

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

    • Recognised educational qualifications in an engineering or business discipline
    • A proven track record of in the sales of smart metering solutions
    • A network of contacts within the EMEA energy and water utilities sectors
    • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
    • Some prior leadership / man management experience
    • An autonomous and proactive approach to introducing new technologies and gaining market share
