Based at its West Yorkshire headquarters, the successful candidate will assist in growing our client’s market share and brand recognition across the UK construction sector.

The Position:

As Business development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing your own portfolio of clients, allocated by sector and/or geographical location
  • Growing your business accounts and hitting monthly targets set by the company
  • Engaging in at least twenty five outbound telephone fact-finding conversations per day with zero spends or prospects
  • Engaging in at least twenty-five outbound telephone fact-finding conversations per day with DMU’s and DMI’s within your spending customer base
  • Identifying and offering add-ons and complementary products to those enquired for
  • Loading all enquiries onto the system and ensuring these are quoted within the company’s documented timeframes
  • (For complex multiple-delivery orders that require scheduling) conducting a clear handover to the relevant Project Manager who will then take responsibility for the project

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate: 

  • Proven outbound (new business) sales experience, ideally within or related to the UK construction industry
  • Experience of working in a business development role or similar
  • A track record of working towards and attaining monthly sales targets
  • The ability to create and maintain healthy and profitable business relationships
