Our client’s ongoing expansion has brought about a fantastic remote-based lead generation opportunity whereby the successful applicant can feasibly reside anywhere in Europe.

The Position:

The Business Development Lead Generation Executive will be responsible for generating qualified leads and will report to the Global Commercial Manager. As first step in the sales process, the team will rely on your persuasive abilities and creative methods to generate qualified leads. You will need to be a confident communicator as, for the most part, your primary tools will be the telephone and email. Furthermore, an ability to quickly learn the key features and benefits of our client’s products, along with a persistent attitude and excellent organisation skills, will enable you to succeed in this role.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Finding new prospects to generate qualified leads and demo opportunities
  • Outbound cold calling to drive new named sales
  • Creating leads in SalesForce and maintaining the system with accurate details
  • Contributing to marketing activities by actively following up on actions
  • Executing a clear sales plan for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales activity
  • Researching new sectors within our client’s core markets
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the product/service portfolio (and that of competitors)
  • Developing and managing leads through to qualification, whether sourced or provided
  • Responding to and following up on all sales enquiries using appropriate methods
  • Attending training seminars to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
  • Establishing strategic relationships and alliances within the industry

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Fluent written communication skills in English and German (plus ideally one additional European language)
  • The ability to quickly establish customer rapport over the phone
  • Proven ability to convert leads to meetings and sales opportunities
  • Prior experience in a new business oriented internal sales or telemarketing position
  • Personal credibility to influence at all levels
  • The ability to think outside the box to identify potential leads and opportunities
  • (Ideally) experience in or exposure to the software industry and/or supply chain planning and/or manufacturing execution
